VOX Cinemas, Power League Gaming and Red Entertainment in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation Middle East today announced that the official dates for the PLG Nationals with Injustice 2 Tournament Series final UAE qualifiers and Regional Finals, the culmination of the Middle East eSports program for the Injustice 2 video game from NetherRealm Studios.

Throughout the month of May and June, amateur and semi-professional players competed in two live qualifiers in Bahrain and Kuwait, as well as an online qualifier, to reach one of the final 8 spots of the PLG Nationals with Injustice 2 Regional Finals. Now at the end of the tournament series, VOX Cinemas will be hosting the UAE Live Qualifier, awarding the final two spots in the Regional Finals, where 8 players will fight for the Middle East Champion title and a prize pool of $5000 (split into 3000$ for first place, $1500 for second place and $500 for third).

Making full use of VOX Cinemas’ high-end theatres at Mall of the Emirates, powered by the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro, UAE and regional finalists from Bahrain, Qatar and the online qualifier competed for glory on Saturday the 22nd of July. The winner of this tournament was none other than Sayed “Tekken Masters” Hashem, previous 2-time Mortal Kombat X Middle East Champion, which walked out with $3000 and continued to VSFIghting in Birmingham, UK, one of the numerous Injustice 2 Pro Series premier events.
